Good looks, 295hp, AWD, based off the Cherokee. I call rallycross monster.
I'd rock it.

Sounds like endless under steer. Sharp looking car though.

If they're smart they'll do a better job of getting its size in the ballpark with the "midsize" competition like the Camry, Accord, Altima, Fusion, 6, etc.
If it's too close in size to the Dart, they'll have the same problem as Chevy's having with the Malibu which doesn't offer too much more room inside than the Cruze.

Let's swap that AWD and Pentastar into my Dart.

This is what the dart should've been. The Dart has amazing looks, and with that engine/drivetrain it would be a really desirable car. I'm calling it right now, they're gonna make it as a Dart SRT.

That is good looking. But "Fun" and "Chrysler 200" being described together is....well...i'll believe it when I see it.
Not saying it can't be done, just saying it hasn't been done.

I've heard so much different crap about the SRT Dart that I'll just wait and see if they even build it. Supposedly the 2.4T is ready to go into the car but Dodge doesn't know what they want the car to compete with(Evo, STI, CLA45, S4 or Focus ST, GTI, Speed3) so that's holding it up. Supposedly they could skip the SRT and just do an RT. You to figure that they want to go a bit upmarket with it (300hp+ & AWD) but don't want to alienate the traditional SRT4 crowd (less HP, FWD, lower price).
I say build an RT with the 3.2L Pentastar/AWD and build a CLA45 killing SRT4 with the 2.4T/AWD. I'd like the SRT4. Hell, I like my car with the 1.4T. My ideal Dart would use the 1.75L from the Alfa 4C.

Your suggestions seem to be the correct ones. the R/T should at least have an AWD option. I wasn't aware that there still was an SRT4 following. Every base Chrysler should now have the 4C engine.

The GT was supposed to be the RT but was renamed before production, so hopefully they're saving it for something else. Similar to how the ZL1 was going to be the Z28 until they decided to save that name for a more worthy vehicle.
Even the Caliber SRT4 has a following, and that was a great powertrain wrapped in a giant turd.

Sounds more like Chryslers's MS6. Hey, maybe the Dodge version will be a hatch/wagon. Remember that weird trend in the early 2000s?

Agreed, that car was ugly as hell, but I knew a guy who had one and loved driving it.

I don't know, I'll have to drive one, but it kind of sounds like a mess. I imagine it will sound like a vacuum cleaner, body roll like a Seabring, and under steer like a Jeep. Just have to wait until a retiree I know buys one and I can take it for a spin.
